Is It Necessary To Wear Underwear?

You will be surprised to know how many people prefer not to wear underwear on the daily basis. Some think it is gross while others believe it is quite normal to go without anything down there to almost any place, including office. People have different opinions, but what do doctors say about it? Let’s discuss pros and cons of not wearing underwear.

Pros Of Not Wearing Underwear

  • Skipping your underwear has a few practical advantages. First of all when you don’t wear anything under your dress, skirt or pants, you eliminate visible panty lines (But you can avoid those by wearing a G-string, for example.), which is especially important if you choose to don a very revealing dress (Remember Anya Rubik’s gown at the 2012 Met Gala?).

  • You get better air circulation when you don’t wear underwear. Underwear tends to trap heat and moisture and hold it against your skin. This can result in jock itch in men and vaginal yeast infections in women. (But if you wear cotton underwear this is unlikely to happen.)

  • We know it sounds ridiculous (but for some it can be a big problem!) but if you don’t wear panties you’ll never run out of clean underwear.

  • Many people consider it sexy to appear in public without underwear. Some even compare it with wearing stockings – no one knows about it but everyone supposes it can be true. (Besides, if your man suddenly gets to know you’re pantyless he’ll start burning with desire!)

Cons Of Not Wearing Underwear

  • Underwear has been invented for purpose. It protects us from infections and irritation as well as parasites. Not wearing it can be hazardous for your health.

When you don’t wear underwear, your jeans, pants, capris, shorts, dresses or skirts rub against your skin and can cause irritation and redness. Seams, studs, and zippers can also cause discomfort and damage delicate skin of your genital area.

When you wear a short dress or a skirt you can end up sitting on surfaces which are not very clean. You can get infected with anything including pubic lice — parasites that are usually transmitted via sex but can also live on towels and other stuff.

  • When you wear clothes, especially pants, without underwear you can wear them just once to feel quite comfortable. If you keep wearing them again and again without washing, the fabric will accumulate not only the discharges from your body like body oil, urine and sweat but also odors which you might not smell but other will do. It’s like wearing the same underwear over and over.

Making a conclusion we can say that it’s all up to you to decide whether you want to wear underwear or not. But there are situations when you just cannot do without it. Good luck!

Why Do Women Wear Bra?

According to the survey, over 90% of North American women wear a bra, many without ever asking why. While some believe they do it for their breasts’ sake, other do it simply because of cultural reasons as going braless (or bra free) is often considered inappropriate or kind of breaking the social rules of dress code.

However, while wearing a bra comes as naturally as wearing outerwear in cold weather, women’s breasts are not really made for bras, scientists say (http://www.007b.com/why_wear_bras.php). And they have some evidence to prove there are actually some health reasons for not wearing bras.

Constant wearing of an ill-fitting bra can cause something more than just discomfort and back and shoulder pains. If you always feel some discomfort and tightness from your bra, or notice little red marks on your skin after taking a bra off, there’s a certain problem and the least you can do to make things right is to buy a well-fitting bra and try to wear a bra as less as possible, especially do not wear a bra to bed.

A study conducted by Sidney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer has proved that constant bra wearing leads to breast cancer. According to the scientists, women who wore a bra 24 hours a day had a 113-fold increase in breast cancer incidence compared to women who wore bra less than 12 hours daily. They suggest that bras exert enough pressure to the breast and surrounding areas to inhibit the flow of lymph, which then causes toxins and other waste material to remain in the breasts instead of being flushed out.

Besides, going bra free is not as dangerous as many women think. Some ladies, especially fuller-chested ones, believe that wearing a bra keeps their breasts from sagging. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about gravity.

Furthermore, there is some evidence that bras can even increase sagging. One possible reason for that is that the breast has ligaments, and since other bodily ligaments can atrophy when not in use, the same might happen to the breast ligaments under the constant artificial support from the bra, resulting in increased sagginess.

The same can be said about back and shoulder pains and tightness. It’s the bra to blame (ill-fitting bra, to be exact).

A study asked larger-busted women to wear strapless bras or no bras at all for two weeks to remove the weight of breasts from their shoulders. When the experiment was over, seventy-nine percent of patients decided to remove breast weight from the shoulder permanently as that’s how they could avoid the pain.

In other worlds, women have an alternative to wearing bras – we can go bra-free or choose other ways to support/hide breasts – by wearing camisoles, light sports and demi bras, silicon adhesive cups, etc.

However, if you wear a bra just to make your breasts look larger, then seems like there’s no possible surgery-free alternative available yet.

5 best beauty tips to help you become your own beauty expert

You don't necessary need to consult a professional make-up guru or a personal trainer to be able to make yourself look attractive. It may surprise you to learn that many of the best beauty tips simply involve using your common sense.  In fact you probably recognize your best features and shortcomings better than anyone. This article will examine some best beauty tips to help you become your own beauty expert.

1. Regular Exercise. First of all, pick a type of exercise that you enjoy! You need to exercise regularly to gain the health benefits, so it is crucial that you choose a type of exercise that you are willing to perform on a regular basis. If you hate weight lifting or going to a gym, then don't pick this as your exercise routine as guess what? You won't do it once the novelty wears off! So make sure that you choose something that you enjoy doing. Ideally, any exercise type that you decide upon should have a good mixture of cardio, weights and stretching if you are really serious. As mentioned if weights are not your thing, then don't worry about it and try to find a physical activity that has a good cardio and stretching component. Your body will still benefit from this type of exercising.

2. Diet. A well-balanced diet plan is essential for looking young and staying healthy. Ensure that you are eating lots of foods high in vitamins, minerals and full of nutrients. Besides the obvious health benefits, these will also help to improve the look of your skin. Red and dark fruits are well-known for containing high level of antioxidants which help your body repair damage caused by free radicals. You need lots of protein in your diet from foods such as tofu, lean meat and nuts. Nuts are a great source of unsaturated fat which helps to decrease your cholesterol levels and maintain it at a healthy level. Never underestimate the importance of drinking enough water daily. Most diets recommend at least 8 glasses per day minimum. This is necessary to keep your body and skin fully hydrated and healthy looking

3. Make-Up. While the goal of applying make-up is to improve your appearance, it should also be something that is enjoyable and not a chore. Make it easy by using only a high-quality foundation along with a brush to ensure that you apply it smoothly and evenly. Since your foundation does contact your delicate facial skin it is important to ensure that the ingredients do not clog the skin pores. Longer, thicker looking eyelashes are very trendy now and this can be achieved by using a good quality mascara. Keep your lips sexy looking by using a lip balm which prevents chapping and keeps them soft. A blush product can help give your face a healthy appearance as well as highlight your facial cheekbones. Make-up is all about experimentation. So don't be afraid to try different products and colours such as eye shadow and lipstick to give yourself a new look. With more beauty products in the consumer marketplace than ever before along with all the hype surround new product launches, it is very easy to feel overwhelmed.

4. Sun Exposure. The days of baking in the sun as a way to become healthier are long gone. With the higher concentrations of ultraviolet light during the hot days of summer, it is much healthier to avoid prolonged sun exposure as much as possible. If you are going to be spending significant time outdoors then plan to use a moisturizer and a facial make-up which contains sunscreen. In cases where you may be in the hot sun for lengthy periods such as while at the beach, hiking, cycling, watching an outdoor event, etc. then ensure that you apply a good quality sunscreen with a high level of UV protection and wear a hat. Current research indicates that excessive sun exposure is one of the primary causes of the visible aging of our skin making some people appear much older looking than they actually are. More dangerous still is the higher probability of sun-worshippers getting skin cancer due to repeated sun exposure. Sadly this can affect people of all ages, just not the older generation.

5. Skin Care. Proper skin care involves a regular routine of washing, moisturizing and exfoliating. For washing, a mild cleanser should be used on a daily basis. Try to avoid products that have an alcohol base or make your skin feel greasy. Alcohol tends to dry out your skin, while oily products may clog the pores of your skin. It is important to wash your face well every morning and never leave make-up on your face for long periods of time such as when you are sleeping. Keep your skin hydrated by using a good quality moisturizer after washing. Several times a month it is necessary to remove dead skin cells from your entire body using an exfoliation product. With the many different types and brands of cleansing, moisturizing and exfoliation products available these days, you may need to try out a variety of cleansers and lotions to find which ones work the best with your skin.

It is essential that you take the time to determine which products or product lines do the best job of enhancing your natural beauty and disguising your flaws. Time is on your side, as these products are not going away soon, and there will always be something new.

Being able to master each of these tips is an important step in learning how to be beautiful today and every day forward.

The Ankara print is one of the top fabrics to watch out for and to some it is a wardrobe staple already.

The Ankara trend has been embraced the world over and is so in vogue right now such that it is not an African only thing anymore!! Some have even called it the “Ankara invasion”.

The Ankara print is an African thing, so to show love for our continent, investing in one item at least will be ideal.
Nicki Minaj , Lady Gaga, Solange, Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Rihanna , Anna Wintour, Nicole Ari Parker… are just a few of the American celebrities who have embraced the Ankara swag trend. And the way things are looking…this is just the beginning.

Ankara also comes in shoes and accessories.

Your Skin Needs Your Care

Cleansing
The truth being told, you need to find a good cleanser that your skin responds well to, and stick with it. See the best cleansers for your skin type.

There's no need to spend N500 on a fancy wash. Stay clear of bar soaps as they tend to dry out the skin. Choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or a clear cleanser if you have oily skin.

Be careful not to cleanse too often. Washing at night should do you. If you have dry skin, consider cold cream like Pond's, which the French use. Simply apply cream, then wipe off, no water needed (if you have hard water it can be especially harsh on skin). Most women prefer the water method: Use warm water to loosen dirt and clogged pores. Use a dime-sized bit of cleanser, then rinse with cool water. You wil also need take take off makeup with proper make up remover.
In the morning, a splash of cool water is all you need (it helps removes excess oil from your nightly moisturizing). Never wash your face with hot or cold water (both can be harmful to your skin). Also be careful about overcleansing skin because it causes rashes and also adult acne.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. But trust me, if you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice an almost immediate difference. One of the reasons men's skin looks more youthful than women's is because men tend to exfoliate daily when they shave…weird right? But true. There are several ways to exfoliate skin:
Scrubs work well by removing the top layer of dead skin cells that tend to dull your skin glow. We find exfoliating skin once a week with a facial scrub keeps skin glowing year-round. Make sure you use a gentle scrub with tiny grains.

Is a toner helpful? Some people swear by toners, some say, "toners are only for copy machines". That’s not totally true…toners are meant to remove all remaining traces of oil, makeup and dirt, but a good cleanser should do this. I believe strongly it's up to you. If you like the way a toner feels on your skin. Ask around for people who have used that particular product,Buy it. Use it. Enjoy it.
Moisturize
A basic law of beauty is that everyone, no matter her skin type, should moisturize. Even if your skin is oily, it will benefit from. (The only exception is those with acne). Why? Moisturizers seal moisture into skin . So how much should you moisturize? Your skin will tell you. When your skin is tight, it's crying out for moisture. Be careful not to overmoisturize ,it can clog pores.
Are eye creams necessary? Hmmmmm maybe. Some cosmetic surgeons strongly recommend eye creams. Why? The skin around the eye contains no fatty tissue and is therefore very thin and susceptible to wrinkles. Special eye creams are formulated to "thicken" this area.
Sunscreen
The number-1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it's important to use sunscreen from your early years. A great way to do this is to purchase two moisturizers: One for night and one for day that includes Ultra V iolet protection. Don't use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, the ingredients are not meant to be and can aggravate skin.
At the end of the day you need a consult with a licenced Dermatologist before taking any decisions as regards skin care.

Stretch For Good Health And Body

Being involved in fitness events and health fairs, I often ask others about their own exercise routines. After their initial self-deprecating moment, they usual express how they want to exercise more, but don't have the time. My response is that you have to make time, even 15 or 20 minutes a day, because exercise is contagious. Twenty minutes one day could mean forty-five minutes the next. You take what you can get. Finally, I tell them, if they do nothing else that day, they should make sure they stretch, because it provides many benefits.
The first positive from beginning a stretching routine is improved flexibility and movement. No one likes that first moment when they get out of bed and everything feels stiff. The last thing you would want is for that stiffness to stay around all day. You are hunched over. Your posture is terrible. As some will say, you look bent like a pretzel. If you've been stretching regularly, this type of early morning stiffness will go away quickly and you'll be standing up straighter quickly. Additionally, improved flexibility allows you to reach more easily for things. Your range of motion is better and your reach may even be extended. People who take pilates, have even reported getting taller after performing the exercises after a few months.
The one I most closely associate with is injury prevention. This is a direct benefit of the elasticity that your muscles develop through stretching. Reaching for and pulling on everyday items is where most people get in trouble when they don't stretch. Simple events like reaching for a door to hold open for someone or trying to get a box on a high shelf are typical story starters for the injured. It was in the middle of the night when I had to change bed sheets, that I experienced back pain. It isn't that I don't stretch regularly, but more that this exemplifies what can happen when your stiff. Out of a still sleep, I was performing reaches and pulling the mattress when my body was just jostled from sleep. My back hurt the next day. After a few days of stretching, heat, and ice I was back to normal. Any regular day, changing the sheets is not a problem at all, because I stretch regularly. As an avid runner, I do not experience pulled muscles as a result of regular stretching.
Increased circulation can lead to a number of benefits, including oxygen flow to the muscles. This increased flow of oxygen can improve your muscular endurance because it provides more of the things your muscles need. On the other end, the increased flow allows for the removal of toxins and waste to be done more rapidly, thus carrying away carbon dioxide and other waste that can slow your muscle's recovery.
Whether you work with a fitness trainer, or with an instructor who teaches yoga or pilates, you will be able to develop a great stretching routine. Over time, you will begin to feel and see the benefits of increased flexibility and movement. Results are not immediate. Remember, do not worry about what you reap that day, but look more at the seeds you planting for long term benefits.

3 Rules on How to Stop Hunger

Do you keep asking yourself how to stop hunger? There are so many tips available and you don't know what to choose. Not all of them are good and not all of them are suitable for every person. It's a good idea do a little research and find the best of them but you have no time available. I think it is useful to share with you my experience on this subject matter. I tried many things. Some of them worked some didn't work. Some worked only for a short period of time. I will present you what worked best for me. I called these my three Golden rules to stop hunger.
1. Think about your hunger and divert your thoughtsDo you really feel hungry? You think on how to stop hunger but... you are not really hungry. I always ask myself. Maybe I'm just bored. If so, I do something for the next 15 minutes or so. The basic idea is to divert my mind from hunger. There are a lot of things I do. I open the door and get out. Then I try a walk and make it as long as I can. When I'm not in the mood for walking I turn off the TV (too many commercials) or get away from the room. Do the same. Do something you like or something fun: movies, shopping, cars, music, golf or a shower. When you finish take a nap.

2. Drink waterDrinking water is one of the most efficient ways to stop hunger. You may feel hungry when your body is dehydrated. Maybe what you need is some water. When I'm hungry, I drink one or more glasses of water. It makes my stomach feel full and it has zero calories. How to stop hunger if you don't like the idea of drinking water? If you're not happy with the idea, make some tea or lemonade. Don't drink soda or other carbonated beverages. You can try some ice water to make your body burn some additional calories in order to heat it up.

3. Eat breakfast
Never skip breakfast. How to stop hunger when you don't eat? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and provides you with the energy you need for a long time. I eat every day at the same hour. I always make my breakfast well-balanced by including different types of foods: fruits, vegetables, whole grains etc. This rule, I think, it's the most important one. A healthy breakfast can easily stop your hunger. As for the rest of the meals, try to eat less at lunch and - if possible - skip dinner. When it's not possible limit yourself to only 3 regular meals a day.

What are your best rules?
These are the best tips I can give to you. They worked for me. There's no need to pay for diet pills or any other expensive solution. They are easy to implement and you'll spend only time. Try some of them. They may work for you, too. Any of them can curb your cravings and help you control your hunger and your weight. There is nothing to lose. Try them and start control your hunger, your weight and your life. Or try something else. Make your own three golden rules and change your life. Then you can teach others how to stop hunger with your own set of rules.

Do Guys Like Ladies with Make-up?

Make-up is a long-lived phenomenon– so can men be serious when they claim to not like it? What does our biology say?
Do guys really not like make-up? And further, what role does make-up play in sex and dating?
Throughout all of known human history, women have used makeup to adorn their faces, and no wonder—with everything that could go wrong then and still can now, from disease and famine to garden-variety acne, women have always felt the need to hide facial imperfections.
Yet when a behaviour is found throughout the world, evolutionary psychologists don’t stop at noting it—they attempt to explain it: Why have women, but not men, found it necessary to wear makeup in the first place? Why are imperfections that are openly shown on men’s faces covered up on women’s?
Because males, being able to procreate endlessly but needing a fertile partner with whom to do it, are under a largely unconscious directive to Go Forth & Find Youth & Beauty.
Women can’t make babies forever, but only for a limited number of years. Reliable signs of fertility— youth and beauty—are conveyed by many signals, and a great number of those are worn on our faces. Smooth skin, wide-open eyes, bright teeth, even and symmetrical features, full lips, rosy cheeks, rounded features—all these things go away with age and/or exposure to pathogens and conditions that thwart baby-making.
So, we women love it when a guy has resources and will lavish them on us…but we love it a lot less when the said Catch is only “pretending” to have the goods. If he’s got the great car and a zero bank balance, he’s done the equivalent of putting on the makeup—then having little biological appeal beneath.
In sum, we women have always worn makeup to play up the youth and beauty men demand, and to compete with our sisters for the best guys. And men have always tried to find women who are The Genuine Article—who look youthful and beautiful without obvious assistance.
Advice? If you are out to catch a man, wear Makeup—but do it discreetly. Play up your best features, rather than creating features you don’t genuinely have.
And then watch the Guys Who Don’t Like Makeup…as they line up.
Cheers.

15 beauty secrets you should know

We've been reading fashion magazines and testing beauty products for years. In this time, we've read 1000s of beauty tips, tried 1000s of products, but only a few are worth keeping around. So, here we share with you the 15 things we wish we knew before now

1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don't. Foundation is for women over 35. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted moisturizer. Tinted moisturizers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations.

2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in We know this from watching the Tyra Banks show. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it.

3. Play up your lips or your eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Prefer the drama of dark lipstick? Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eye shadow. Don't heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you'll look like a clown.
And never, ever line lips in a darker colour than your gloss or lipstick.

4. Less is more Ever notice how some of your friends look best with no makeup at all? No matter your age, too much makeup makes you look worse. If you wear foundation, powder, blush, liner, mascara, eye shadow, lip liner and gloss on an everyday basis, then you're overdoing it. Tone it down: All you really need is a great mascara, concealer for blemishes and gloss. Add a pop of blush in winter.

5. Natural hair is always hot If you have super dark hair, lighten your look by going a shade darker or getting lighter highlights. Blonde? Try highlights, especially framing the face. We see too many teens lightening their hair several shades and the look can be super-tacky, not super-fabulous. The trick is to let people assume you were born with sun-kissed hair, not that you gave yourself a bad dye job from a bottle.

6. Vaseline is your best friend Vaseline is a great, cheap eye makeup remover. It's also great for fixing chapped, scaly lips. Slather on a bunch of Vaseline, then use a toothbrush to massage lips. Wipe the excess off on a tissue. Your lips will be smooth and soft.

7. You can never go wrong with layers Long layers of hair extension are great for any hair type: Super curly, straight or wavy. It makes thin hair appear thicker, curly hair appear manageable and wavy hair appear just-got-back-from-the-beach sexy. Just make sure you don't get too many layers cut in. Too many short layers is dated.

8. Acne? Go to a dermatologist, Biggest mistake people with acne make? Not going to a dermatologist. Forget those $150 jeans you covet. Getting rid of those pimples will be the best investment you'll ever make. And the only guaranteed way to do it is with a dermatologist.

9. Spend money on key beauty products Not sure what to splurge on and what to save on? . See if you should splurge or save on cleansers, mascara, concealer and more.

10. Buying foundation or lipstick? Test it first There are some beauty products you simply must try out at a department store or beauty shop before you buy. These include: Foundation, lipstick, blush and powder.

11. Don't let nails go Not into manicures and pedicures? No worries. Just make sure to keep nails clean and the same length. If you do want to paint them, don't keep the polish on until half of it's chipped away. Also, there's nothing worse than too-long toenails. Keep nails clipped between pedicures! People tend to judge others by the care they put into their hands and feet.
12 Don't line the inside of your eyes It will make your eyes appear smaller. Instead, line just at the lash line. Also, an obvious line doesn't look natural. Smudge the line just a bit.

13. Shave legs at the end of the shower Cut down on nicks and cuts by making shaving the very last step in your shower or bathing ritual.

14. Know your best feature and play it up What feature do people comment on most? Play it up. If you're told you have Nuella Njigbo lips, make sure to wear gloss and play with bold lipstick colours. If it's your eye colour people love, find eye shadow colours that complement them and make sure to wear mascara. Also, know what colour shirts look best on you and go shopping.

15. Scrubs are great for dry skin If you have dry, itchy skin in winter, invest in a scrub and handmitts and scrub away in the bathtub. Make sure to slather on a thick moisturizer afterward. For dry, callous feet, buy a pumice stone or foot brush. They work better than any of the other wimpy options on the market.

Remember: Beauty is mostly internal Think about a girl you know who's overweight yet all the guys love her. Why? Because she's confident. If you aren't wearing makeup and your toes haven't been repainted in weeks, if you're happy and smiling you will still be 10 times prettier than the mopey cheerleader sitting next to you in class. Trust us (wink).

How to cloth yourself at 40 and above

When you are over 40yrs, you need to realise that a different set of clothes is going to suit you best.
Many women make the mistake of trying to look like their daughter and wear clothes which are too young for them. Sadly, this doesn’t make you look younger – it does quite the opposite, it ages you.
When it comes to clothes, over 40s do ‘glamour’ better than ‘girly’
I still find it amazing how many over-40 women make basic mistakes with clothes, and so do themselves no favours

3 common errors when it comes to fashion over 40:
Sizing
You’re 40, still have a good figure. You think you’ll squeeze into skin tight clothes to show off your body. Mistake!!
Every extra ounce will show and you will look like you are bursting at the seams. Even if there is not a single extra pound about your person, tight clothes on an over 40 is not a good look.
There is no need to over correct the problem either. Wearing everything slightly on the big side will just look frumpy.
Once over 40, it is important to wear clothes that fit properly or don't wear them at all.

selling from the rear
Perhaps you’re 40, slim, long flowing hair. You’re walking down the street, feeling good that you can still get away with wearing teenager clothes. Or can you?
A young man behind you likes what he sees from behind. But when he steals a glance at your face he gets a nasty shock! Yes, you’ve oversold from the rear.
Don’t get me wrong – you probably do have a beautiful face. But you’re 40, not 20. When you wear clothes that are designed for teenagers and early 20s , you are doing yourself a disservice.

Slogans
Imagine an older face sporting a baby pink and blue tee shirt with a childlike slogan. Do you think that looks sophisticated?
At 40 plus, go for glamour and elegance and stop playing the teenagers at their own game!
When you are in doubt about whether a garment you own works for you, picture somebody you admire wearing it, choose somebody who is a similar age and build to you. I bet that makes your mind up quite quickly for you. It works every time for me!

Clothes to be avoided
Here are some things you really shouldn't be wearing at 40 and above.
• Mini Skirts and mini dresses - a couple of inches above the knee is as short as you should ideally go.
• Anything that ties up at the back - not sophisticated!
• Tee shirts with slogans or pictures – think glamour!
• Low cut tops with higher cut hems - if you are going to wear a short skirt, then don't sport a plunging neckline at the same time. Glamorous women show no more than 30% skin at any one time.
• Budget clothing - better to have a few good items than 20 bad quality items.
• Cheap plastic 'fun' jewellery - there is plenty of affordable jewellery to choose from and it doesn't have to be real.
• In fact, any 'fun' garment at all - it's great that you've got a sense of humour but you don't have to wear it.
• Prom style dresses (tight bodice, full skirt) - these are for proms and I'm sorry but you are too old to go!
• Low slung jeans and trousers - we don't want to see your knickers and you shouldn't want us to see them either!
• Sports clothes, fleeces and training shoes - unless you are off to the gym.
• Coloured tights - this is just not an elegant look.
So, you've learnt that fashion over 40 means go for glamour not girly.

White teeth

You would not appreciate a tooth if you hadn’t lost. Why? Every tooth plays an important role in speaking, chewing and in maintaining proper alignment of other teeth. What more? A good set of teeth makes you gorgeous.
You need your teeth at every birthday too! So, how old are? Given all the chewing, crunching, biting, and gnashing the teeth do, they are surprisingly resilient but the everyday wear and tear and the natural aging process take a toll. Age and the teeth? Yes your teeth change as you grow older-could darken, gum could shift or you develop gum troubles. If in doubt, compare note with someone you are older than.
Tired of what your teeth look like? Wondering the dos and don’ts to keeping your teeth strong and sparkling for a lifetime?
Don’t: allow food stains:
Surprisingly, so many of the food take cause stains on your teeth. Food like red wine, soda and coffee make whiteness of teeth dull-your smile becomes not so bright.
Do: Brush your teeth after eating darker foods-it preserves your smile’s natural brightness,
Don’t: Employ your teeth as tool’
They are for eating! Some individuals use their teeth for any task-tearing open bags or opening cans and bottles. Each time you use your teeth as a tool, you risk damaging them. This damage could be in the chips or breakage. This kind of pressure on teeth could also disrupt the flow of nutrients to your teeth, which could cause your teeth to change colours.
Do: Change toothbrushes
Be sure to change your toothbrush frequently and floss daily. Any problems with gum (such as gums receding) can change the way your smile looks. Know that a good oral hygiene helps avoid inflammation that can cause age-related problems.
Don’t: Smoke
It’s awful! It stains your teeth, ages your skin prematurely and you look years older than your true age.
Do shun indulgences
If as an adult you don’t know this, then you have no business with a good set of teeth. The biggest threat to teeth is sugary and starchy food. How? These carbohydrates ferment, causing the bacteria in the mouth to produce acids. Those acids quickly eat away at the enamel of teeth. This creates tiny pits where tooth decay can form. You love sweetened carbonated beverages-cola? Carbonation increase acid levels in the mouth and acts as a particular threat to tooth enamel.
Do: Avoid frequent snacking, which cause acid levels in the mouth to remain high over an extended time. Got a craving for something sweet? Chew sugarless gum. Chewing increases saliva production, which helps cleanse the mouth and neutralize acidity. Brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minute and floss daily. Daily dental hygiene reduces bacteria levels in your mouth.
Do: see your dentist every six months for a regular check-up.
Don’t: Grind or clench your teeth. This is called bruxism, and is frequently caused by stress or anxiety. Over time, bruxism can wear down the biting surfaces of teeth, making them more susceptible to decay.
Do: Avoid chewing ice and other very hard foods. Double-check to make sure that pitted foods have no pits before you bite down on them.
See your dentist regularly. He/she can spot cracked or broken fillings that may weaken teeth. Your dentist will also check for signs of bruxism. Ironically, individuals who grind or clench their. You are showing signs of bruxism? A dentist may recommend a mouth guard that can be worn at night to prevent grinding.
Any other business? No, just don’t forget to smile enough it shows you are engaged with life and enjoying yourself. Now smile and say cheese!

pleated skirts

Pleats versatility is such that they can be worn with just about anything. Besides the fact that they come in chiffon and silk, they can be incorporated into any style. Want the best of pleated clothes.
1. Let it be high-wasted. What top are you wearing with the pleated skirt? Tuck it in. There are a variety of tops to consider T-shirt, tank tops, lace tops (for an edgy 70’s look) and normal feminine blouses.
2. To ooze an extra glamorous effect, do have at the back of your mind that accessories are key. It is so easy to go over the board with accessories so caution should be exercised. A tiny but noticeable belt can be used to cinch the waist, giving it definition. If you are wearing a plain cropper or tank top or blouse, make do with a chunky or attention-drawing neck piece to bring out the beauty of your ensemble. But wear the tiniest and most understated of earrings.
3. choose fun colours like dark orange, pink, turquoise or go the way of the two or more tone colour blocking trend. But be sure the colour that balances the colour of the skirt, if it is a pleated skirt, that way, you avoid looking like a clown!
4. With a pleated blouse, you can march it with a fitted Pir of pants to balance out the billowy look.

you are blushing

You have used the foundation, applied the eye shadow, mascara, and then, the lipstick/lip gloss.
But you are forgetting something here. Guess what it is?
The brush!
It often the last cosmetic to be used on the face and it simulates a natural glow. Blush may come as a cream, gel, or powder blush comes in larger variety of shades. On bare skin or over foundation you may use any texture but if you use facial powder, then applying powder blush on top is your only choice.
Choose your blush
Make do with a shade from the cool palette to add a healthy glow to your face. Any kind of pink is a good choice for lighter complexions. While cool berries and plum shades will work for deeper skin tones.
Choose a shade ranging from delicate apricot, for a fair complexion, to burnt orange, for a deep skin tone. Warm-coloured blush with orange undertones is best for contouring the cheeks.
Shades between the cool and warm palettes suit any complexion. Peachy for light skin, rosewood for medium skin, or red for dark or black skin.
You may use two blushers; a dark warm or natural shade for contouring, and a light pink or neutral shade to add a healthy glow. It will add luminosity to your face, and is especially good with night make-up.

Applying blush
• Blush should be applied should be applied to the fullest part of your check. Use a blush to sweep the colour back toward the temple. Once your blush is in place, take a cotton ball and blend until you have just a hint of natural looking blush colour.
• To find out the actual position of the apple of your cheek, look into the mirror and smile and then sweep the brush upward in an arc from your cheekbone to your hairline.
• Accentuate the cheekbones by using a slightly darker shade there while blending it down the cheek for more natural look.
• Make the face look wider, by looking straight into the mirror and applying the blusher on the cheekbone from under the centre of the eye to the temple.
• A full round brush gives a profession look and makes the overall look softer and more desirable.

What causes sagging of breasts?

Sagging or drooping of breasts is a natural, inevitable process that happens to all women at some point - except those with fairly small breasts. The most notable sagging happens with the process called breast involution , but breasts can start drooping a little at any age, because they do NOT have muscles in them. They have ligaments and connective tissue. When the gravity pulls the breasts down, those ligaments and the skin can stretch, and so the breast then drops. This depends on the elasticity of your skin and of your ligaments, as determined by your genes and diet, and also on normal aging processes. Obviously large breasts will sag easier since the gravity is pulling them down more.

Breast involution is a process where the milk-making system inside the breast shrinks because it's not needed anymore. This happens either after weaning or right after pregnancy if you don't breastfeed at all, or during menopause.

Another common cause for sagging is when a woman loses weight. When you lose weight, some of that fat disappears from your breasts.

There is one more notable study concerning sagging and bra wearing, which found that jogging caused breasts to bounce enough to stretch the Cooper's ligaments inside the breast. Naturally, stretched ligaments would cause the breast to sag more.

The lesson to take home from this study is that if you engage in jogging or some other type of very active sport, sports bras are recommendable.

10 facts about lack of sleep.

Lack of sleep can make you grumpy and foggy. You may not know what it can do to your sex life, memory, health, looks, and even ability to lose weight. Here are 10 surprising -- and serious -- effects of sleep loss.

1. Sleepiness Causes Accidents
Sleep loss is a big public safety hazard every day on the road. Drowsiness can slow reaction time as much as driving drunk. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that fatigue is a cause in 100,000 auto crashes and 1,500 crash-related deaths a year in the U.S. The problem is greatest among people under 25 years old.

Studies show that sleep loss and poor-quality sleep also lead to accidents and injuries on the job.
2. Lack of Sleep Kills Sex Drive

Sleep specialists say that sleep-deprived men and women report lower libidos and less interest in sex. Depleted energy, sleepiness, and increased tension may be largely to blame.

3. Sleepiness Makes You Forgetful

Trying to keep your memory sharp? Try getting plenty of sleep.

4. Sleep Loss Dumbs You Down

Sleep plays a critical role in thinking and learning. Lack of sleep hurts these cognitive processes in many ways. First, it impairs attention, alertness, concentration, reasoning, and problem solving. This makes it more difficult to learn efficiently.

Second, during the night, various sleep cycles play a role in “consolidating” memories in the mind. If you don’t get enough sleep, you won’t be able to remember what you learned and experienced during the day.

5. Sleep Deprivation Can Lead to Serious Health Problems

Sleep disorders and chronic sleep loss can put you at risk for:

Heart disease
Heart attack
Heart failure
Irregular heartbeat
High blood pressure
Stroke
Diabetes
According to some estimates, 90% of people with insomnia -- a sleep disorder characterized by trouble falling and staying asleep -- also have another health condition.

6. Sleepiness Is Depressing
People who slept less than five hours a night for seven nights felt stressed, angry, sad, and mentally exhausted. Over time, lack of sleep and sleep disorders can contribute to the symptoms of depression.

Insomnia and depression feed on each other. Sleep loss often aggravates the symptoms of depression, and depression can make it more difficult to fall asleep. On the positive side, treating sleep problems can help depression and its symptoms, and vice versa.

7. Sleep Loss Impairs Judgment, Especially About Sleep
Lack of sleep can affect our interpretation of events. This hurts our ability to make sound judgments because we may not assess situations accurately and act on them wisely.

Sleep-deprived people seem to be especially prone to poor judgment when it comes to assessing what lack of sleep is doing to them. In our increasingly fast-paced world, functioning on less sleep has become a kind of badge of honor. But sleep specialists say if you think you’re doing fine on less sleep, you’re probably wrong. And if you work in a profession where it’s important to be able to judge your level of functioning, this can be a big problem.

8. Lack of Sleep Ages Your Skin
Most people have experienced sallow skin and puffy eyes after a few nights of missed sleep. But it turns out that chronic sleep loss can lead to lackluster skin, fine lines, and dark circles under the eyes.

When you don’t get enough sleep, your body releases more of the stress hormone cortisol. In excess amounts, cortisol can break down skin collagen, the protein that keeps skin smooth and elastic.

Sleep loss also causes the body to release too little human growth hormone. When we’re young, human growth hormone promotes growth. As we age, it helps increase muscle mass, thicken skin, and strengthen bones.

9. Lack of Sleep May Increase Risk of Death
In the “Whitehall II Study,” British researchers looked at how sleep patterns affected the mortality of more than 10,000 British civil servants over two decades. The results, published in 2007, showed that those who had cut their sleep from seven to five hours or fewer a night nearly doubled their risk of death from all causes. In particular, lack of sleep doubled the risk of death from cardiovascular disease.

10. Losing Sleep Can Make You Gain Weight
When it comes to body weight, it may be that if you snooze, you lose. Lack of sleep seems to be related to an increase in hunger and appetite, and possibly to obesity. According to a 2004 study, people who sleep less than six hours a day were almost 30 percent more likely to become obese than those who slept seven to nine hours.

Not only does sleep loss appear to stimulate appetite. It also stimulates cravings for high-fat, high-carbohydrate foods. Ongoing studies are considering whether adequate sleep should be a standard part of weight loss programs.

Ways to be an attractive woman

The power of attraction is a very useful thing. There is a common misconception that physical appearance completely determines attractiveness, but this is simply not true. If you want people to be drawn to you, there are a variety of things you can do as a woman that will have others flocking to you in time.
1. Be healthy. Eyes take kindly to a woman who takes care of herself, and that means finding a happy medium for your weight, eating well, getting enough sleep and exercising. Plus, being healthy makes you more energetic, better for your mental health as well as adding to your confidence--who can resist that?

2. Be distinctly you. Be yourself. If you ever observe people at a party or any social gathering, you'll always see the majority of guys drawn to women with unique (but not intimidating) personalities. It's never a plain Jane, following the herd, to whom they all gravitate, is it? So ask yourself, is there anything you could improve about your personality or who you are to make yourself more interesting and fun to talk to?
3. Take care of your skin. Blemishes (especially on your face) can be very distracting. Wash your face regularly, and apply makeup to accentuate your complexion.
4. Love yourself. You can be pretty but still unattractive if you don't start to love yourself. Nobody will care how shiny and thick your hair is, for example, if you keep complaining about your waist size. Confidence is a powerful attractant, so you need to learn to be confident.
5. Be hygienic. Maintain yourself so that you always smell and look fresh and lovely. Take showers, brush your teeth after every meal, wear clean clothes, etc.
6. Be nice. A rude person turns ugly in the eyes of whoever sees her, but a nice person turns into a prettier person in the eyes of everyone who sees her. Try to be nice to everyone, but be ready to defend yourself against any rude attitudes, since letting people walk all over you is not very attractive, now is it?
7. Have style. Make sure you look your best no matter what. Even if you're wearing sweat pants, dab a little lip gloss on and wear gold hoop earrings or a bracelet. For special occasions, Go for funky strappy high heeled sandals, a flowy blouse and skinny jeans.
8. Smile. Don't walk around all the time with a frown or even a neutral expression on your face. Even a little smile will make you more attractive. What else could be more inviting and approachable? All in all, be readable. You don't have to be predictable, but for goodness sake, do not keep a poker face when it comes to emotions. Guys do not like to feel unsure. As bad as it is asking for directions, asking a woman how she feels can be dangerous! This is why so many guys won't do it if they can't already tell if a girl is into them or not. Don't smile too much though. Most guys these days fall for mysterious women. So smiling when men aren't expecting it can make them stammer.
9. Keep your hair healthy and styled. They say that the hair is the portrait of the face, so it has to look great. Greasy or damaged hair is always unattractive. Always comb and brush your hair very well, every day. Get a haircut or style that fits your facial shape. Cutting yourself bangs can also make you appear attractive.
10. Be willing to participate. Whether it's talking, eating, gaming, dancing , it's only polite to join in. A person who just sits there watching might as well be wearing a flashing neon sign that says "I'm a boring person who doesn't like fun!" However, this does NOT mean you should join in drinking or partying if you're not into those things. To get involved, walk kindly up to them and ask, "Do you mind if I join you?" If they say yes, have fun! If they say no, that usually indicates that they are mean and not very 'open'. Try to avoid people who don't even notice you or are excessively mean to you for no reason. If they say no, try to find some other people to try to be friends with.
11. Be capable of carrying on a conversation. You don't necessarily have to have something in common with a guy for him to take interest in you but if he tries to talk to you but you just stand there, he's going to move on. A good conversation starter is to ask his opinion about something superficial, such as whether QWR picked the right guy or if the nice weather will hold out through the weekend.
NOTE: avoid asking for input about your looks, such as your outfit or your hair. Keep the conversation light. Above all, don't put yourself down, it's a huge turnoff.
12. Don't make yourself seem overly available.
13. Don't listen to the opinion of women when pursuing men. Women have their own perception of beauty and what they think males find attractive. "Wear this," "Do that," "Show your left ankle; men love it, and they will respect you for it, too!" Yeah, no.
14. Treat yourself. Get a manicure and pedicure, a massage, or a facial. You don't have to do it every week, but don't deprive yourself.
15. Have a confidence in yourself.
16. Have your own principles. Be certain in certain aspects so that your social life won't be a mess.

Warnings tips
• Don't be shallow. When looking for a serious relationship, girls want to find a partner who is interested in them for reasons other than looks. Believe it or not, the same goes for guys. At least for guys who are worth more than ten minutes of your time.
• Do not expose yourself too much. Guys might like what you wear, but they will not respect you if you flaunt your figure.
• Do NOT copy other people. You need to be completely yourself.
• Do not overdo your beliefs and looks, because you will make it too obvious and it will be unattractive.
• Don't change your looks to please other people; only change your looks to please yourself.
• Show acceptance. Every person wants to be accepted fully for who he or she is. Remember the old saying, "Women marry men thinking they'll change and they don't, and men marry women thinking they won't change and they do."
